The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities advanced further on Tuesday lifted by stronger capesize and panamax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities advanced further on Tuesday lifted by stronger capesize and panamax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up another by 4 points to 1094 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
